Feyenoord striker Cyriel Dessers has admitted that he does not know where his future lies.
In August 2021, the Racing Genk-owned player joined Feyenoord on loan for the remainder of the season with an option to buy inserted into the agreement between the parties.
Dessers has impressed for the Dutch Eredivisie giants despite his limited playing opportunities, scoring five goals and providing an assist off the bench, thus brightening the chances of the club signing him on a permanent deal next summer.
With Paul Onuachu once again tipped for the exit door as from the January transfer window and Ike Ugbo making an indifferent start to life at the Luminus Arena, a return to Racing Genk before the start of the 2022-2023 season is another option.
The third option would see Racing Genk loaning him out or selling him to a different club.
"Maybe Feyenoord has the option, maybe I will return to Genk or they will lend me to another club," Dessers said to Sport/Voetbalmagazine via Voetbalnieuws.
"As a football player you have much less control over that than many people think".
Dessers lists FC Utrecht, NAC Breda, KSC Lokeren, Heracles Almelo and Oud-Heverlee Leuven as his previous clubs.
