Football&rsquo;s governing body, Fifa released its monthly ranking of national teams on Thursday morning.<br /><br />The Super Eagles of Nigeria, on the back of their win over Ethiopia in the World Cup play - offs, have made remarkable progress as they are ranked in the 33rd position.<br /><br />In comparison with last month&rsquo;s ranking, Nigeria, who are the 4th best team in Africa, climbed three places.<br /><br />The Eagles next three opponents Ethiopia, Jordan and Italy are ranked 95th, 70th and 8th respectively.<br /><br />European and World champions Spain continue to top the ranking followed by Germany, Argentina and Colombia.<br /><br />The next ranking will be published by the official website of Fifa, fifa.com on November 28, 2013.<br /><br /><u><b>Top Ten African Teams</b></u><br />1) Ivory Coast<br />2) Ghana<br />3) Algeria<br />4) Nigeria<br />5)Mali<br />6) Cape Verde Islands<br />7) Tunisia<br />8) Egypt<br />9) Burkina Faso<br />10) Cameroon <br />
