Obinna Nwobodo has been ruled out of the Fifa Under 20 World Cup due to a cruciate ligament injury he sustained at the African Youth Championship, the NFF has announced through official sources.<br /><br />Therefore the Enugu Rangers midfielder will not be on the plane to Germany later today for a training camp ahead of the tournament in New Zealand. <br /><br />Instead, officials of the Nigeria Football Federation and the National Sports Commission will fly him to an undisclosed country abroad for treatment.<br /><br />Obinna Nwobodo will need to undergo surgery which will rule him out of action for at least eight months. <br /><br />The 18 - year - old picked up the man of the match accolade when the Flying Eagles clashed with their Ghanaian counterparts in Senegal at the AYC.<br /><br />Photo Credit : thenff.com<br />
