Former Blue Victor Moses headlines Chelsea's first-ever visit to Lagos, Nigeria

Premier League giants Chelsea FC are set to visit Lagos for the first time in their history, with former Super Eagles winger Victor Moses scheduled to headline a fan engagement event in the city.

The visit, confirmed via the club’s official channels, forms part of Chelsea’s global fan initiative, The Famous CFC, which aims to strengthen ties with supporters worldwide.

Nigeria will serve as the fifth stop of the programme during the 2025/26 season, with the Lagos event expected to be one of its highlights.

Moses, a former Chelsea star and fan favourite, will meet and interact with supporters, bringing a personal touch to the historic occasion.

Moses enjoyed a successful spell at Stamford Bridge after joining from Wigan Athletic in 2012.

During his time with the Blues, he made 128 appearances across all competitions, contributing 18 goals and 10 assists.

He played a crucial role in Chelsea’s 2016/17 Premier League title-winning campaign, establishing himself as a key figure under then-manager Antonio Conte.

In addition to the league triumph, Moses lifted other major honours with the club, including the FA Cup and the UEFA Europa League.

On the international stage, he was an integral member of the Nigerian squad that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and represented the country at both the 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cup tournaments before retiring from international football in 2018.

Chelsea’s upcoming visit is expected to further energise the club’s large Nigerian fanbase, offering supporters a rare opportunity to connect directly with the club and one of its most celebrated African players.
