English Premier League new boys Fulham remain keen on signing Porto's Nigeria international Zaidu Sanusi this summer.
According to Portuguese daily national newspaper Jornal de Notícias via Sports Witness, the Cottagers have not given up yet on the pacey left-back despite his price tag of 20 million euros (approximately N8.8b) putting them off initially.
Fulham will have to work hard to seal the signing of Sanusi as they are facing competition for his services, with Brighton & Hove and Crystal Palace also credited with an interest.
Fulham are hoping that Porto will lower the defender's asking price but as of now the Primeira Liga champions are standing firm over their valuation of the 25-year-old.
Sanusi put himself in the ship window after delivering some eye-catching performances last season and the highlight has to be his goal against Benfica which won the title for Porto with a game to spare.
The Super Eagle will not be fazed playing in the Premier League, having featured against the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League in recent seasons.
Sanusi landed in Porto from CD Santa Clara in August 2020 and his contract expires at the end of the 2024-2025 season.
