Marseille legend Taye Taiwo has sent a message of encouragement to Tochukwu Nnadi following his high-profile deadline-day move to the 1993 European champions.
The Ligue 1 outfit completed the signing of the Nigeria international on Monday for a fee in the region of €6 million.
Taiwo enjoyed a highly successful six-year spell at Marseille, during which he won the Ligue 1 title, two Coupe de la Ligue trophies, the Trophée des Champions and the UEFA Intertoto Cup.
The former left-back directly participated an impressive 80 goal involvements (38 goals and 42 assists) across 446 appearances in all competitions before sealing a permanent move to Italian giants AC Milan.
Reacting to Nnadi's arrival video shared on Marseille's official Instagram account, Taiwo wrote succinctly: "Go smash it".
Despite being in excellent physical condition, having represented the Super Eagles at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and featured in Zulte Waregem's last two matches following his return from Morocco, Nnadi will have to wait for his Marseille debut.
The midfielder was not included in the provisional squad for Tuesday's clash with Rennes, having arrived too late to be registered, even though his signing was announced prior to the Coupe de France fixture.
