Trabzonspor manager Fatih Tekke has reportedly received an encouraging update on his star striker Paul Onuachu ahead of Sunday's Super Lig clash with İstanbul Başakşehir.

The Nigeria international missed Trabzonspor's last outing against Alanyaspor  after suffering a muscle injury in training.

According to Turkish newspaper Sabah, Trabzonspor received good news regarding three key players Paul Onuachu, Arbnor Muçi, and Arseniy Batagov who will begin training with the team starting tomorrow,  significantly easing the burden on Fatih Tekke .

Onuachu underwent an MRI scan that showed no serious issues, with the Nigerian striker receiving intravenous treatment for dehydration and now in stable condition.

The FC Ebedei product is expected to be involved in team training on Thursday, and he's expected to feature in the match against İstanbul Başakşehir.

Trabzonspor have struggled in the absence of the lanky striker, collecting just five points from a possible twelve, with draws against Beşiktaş and Alanyaspor, a win over Kocaelispor and a defeat to Gençlerbirliği.

Despite missing four games through a combination of international duty, suspension and injury, Onuachu is the leading scorer in the Super Lig with 22 goals to his name, four more than Eldor Shomurodov, who has started every match played by Basaksehir this season.
