'He did not deny it' - Galatasaray insider confirms Turkish champions are interested in Onyedika

Galatasaray vice-president Abdullah Kavukcu recently confirmed that the Turkish champions are in the market for a midfielder ahead of the reopening of the transfer window.

One of the midfielders being linked with a possible move to the Istanbul giants is Nigeria international Raphael Onyedika.

The FC Ebedei product was on the radar of Eintracht Frankfurt, Galatasaray and AS Monaco in August but nothing came out of it before the summer window closed for business.

Since joining Club Brugge from FC Midtjylland in 2022, he has established himself as a key player for the Blue-Black, registering 13 goal involvements (8 goals, 5 assists) in 165 appearances.

Galatasaray insider Arda Özkurt disclosed that he had been in contact with an authorised representative from Onyedika’s agency to clarify the speculation surrounding a potential move to The Lion.

In quotes relayed by haber sari kirmizi, Özkurt said: "I spoke to an authorized representative from Raphael Onyedika's management company. When I asked about Galatasaray's interest in Onyedika, he did not deny it,"

"When I later asked about Club Brugge's expectations, the response I received was, 'No one has contacted us yet, we don't know their expectations'".

Onyedika is currently on international duty with the Super Eagles at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco and has 18 months remaining on his contract with Club Brugge.
