Italian pundit and Corriere della Sera columnist Mario Sconcerti has explained why he thinks Victor Osimhen is a better striker than Tammy Abraham.
The Napoli and AS Roma stars are widely regarded among the top youngsters in the Italian Serie A and have been linked with summer moves to Arsenal, with the England international seen as a cheaper alternative to the Super Eagle.
Comparing their goalscoring exploits this season, Abraham has scored 24 goals in 47 appearances in all competitions while Osimhen has 16 goals but has played nineteen games less than the Chelsea academy product.
Sconcerti praised Osimhen, saying he cam make a big impact for a team, but has highlighted that he does not play intelligently.
"Osimhen and Abraham are different but two good strikers. Osimhen is instinctive, one who has yet to learn to think when he plays, but he has exceptional means that dictate his movements," Sconcerti told TMW Radio, according to il NAPOLISTA.
"He doesn't think about them, he follows his own instincts, but also for this reason he has quite frequent exceptional moments of play.
"I think he is stronger than Abraham as a game solution. He is less orderly. At this moment Osimhen makes the most difference.
"I believe that Abraham will continue to grow, we will also have to wait to see a full season of Osimhen, which he has not done so far.
"But Abraham is a mile above normal, I see something exceptional in Osimhen."
Arsenal have reignited their interest in Osimhen after missing out in his signature in 2016, when he chose to join Wolfsburg after winning the Golden Boot at the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup.
