Crystal Palace legend Clinton Morrison has criticized Wolves striker Tolu Arokodare for missing a clear scoring chance during the club’s 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday evening.
The Cherries clinched the win at the Molineux Stadium, with Eli Junior Kroupi and Alex Scott finding the net in both halves.
Arokodare, who played the full 90 minutes, missed a gilt-edged chance in the 64th minute when he failed to beat former Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic from close range.
The Nigeria international displayed impressive strength and movement to get ahead of Marcos Senesi and meet Hugo Bueno’s cross, but his side-footed effort was blocked by Petrovic’s outstretched feet.
Speaking during his commentary duty on Sky Sports, Morrison said the Nigerian striker failed to make the most of the opportunity, describing the effort as disappointing at a crucial moment in the game.
"Straight at Petrovic, Arokadare should do better. He should score but that's how Wolves have been this season."
The 25-year-old arrived at the Premier League side from Racing Genk in the summer but has found it difficult to reproduce the form that secured his move.
Arokodare has managed only one goal in 20 league appearances, a sharp drop from the 21 league goals he scored in Belgium during the 2024/2025 season.
