Strasbourg striker Emanuel Emegha has heaped praise on Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen, describing the former African Footballer of the Year as 'fantastic' and one of the most outstanding strikers in world football.
Premier League side Chelsea have already agreed a deal to sign Emegha, with the Netherlands international of Nigerian descent officially joining the Blues at the end of this season.
Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray permanently in the summer, has continued his impressive form, netting eleven goals in fifteen appearances across all competitions.
Emegha revealed that he has been closely following Osimhen’s career, from his time at Napoli to his current exploits in Turkey.
“Yes, I think he’s fantastic and I’ve been following him for a long time. First at Napoli, now at Galatasaray,” he was quoted as saying by Africa Top Sports.
Emegha went on to highlight Osimhen’s technical ability, adding, “Watch him play: with his back to the defender, he receives an aerial ball, a pass that’s difficult to control. It’s no problem for him. He jumps two meters and controls the ball with his chest. As if it were nothing.“
The Sparta Rotterdam academy graduate has scored seven goals and provided two assists in eleven appearances across all competitions this term for Strasbourg.
His admiration for Osimhen reflects the growing recognition of the Super Eagles striker’s impact in Europe and underscores the respect he commands among emerging talents in the game.
