Liverpool star Mohamed Salah says he is not ready to exchange words with Nigeria captain Ahmed Musa ahead of tomorrow's Group D meeting between the Super Eagles and Pharaohs at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Musa stirred up a hornet's nest when he claimed that that the Super Eagles have more dangerous players than the Egypt captain and namechecked Samuel Chuwkueze as a better player.
Salah is among the three finalists of The Best FIFA Men's Player, along with Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski , and was the top ranked African in the Ballon d'Or award.
Though the exciting winger admitted that Nigeria have good players in their ranks, he has underlined that Egypt will do everything possible to defeat their rivals.
Asked to react to Musa's comments, Salah told reporters at the pre-match press conference : "I don’t think there is a need to reply to him because he is someone I respect so much.
"Super Eagles have a good team but we would do our best to defeat them.
"Both teams have good players, they have the chance to win. We will do our best to win tomorrow."
Salah has faced Nigeria's senior team twice in his career, scoring once in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier back in 2016.
