Akor Adams has spoken about his partnership with Victor Osimhen in the Super Eagles attack, insisting that their understanding on the pitch is built on their qualities and shared belief.
The Sevilla forward made his Africa Cup of Nations debut on Tuesday evening as the Super Eagles defeated Tanzania 2–1 in Fes, partnering Osimhen in attack from the start for the third time in his international career.
Although Adams did not get on the scoresheet, he came close to scoring with a header that crashed against the woodwork.
Before the clash against Tanzania, Adams and Osimhen started together in the 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against the Republic of Benin and Gabon.
Reflecting on playing alongside Osimhen, Adams told Richard Nwajei n he mixed zone: "It’s a pleasure for me. We complement each other very well with our qualities. He knows what he’s doing, and I know what I’m doing. It’s all positive, and you can see it on the pitch."
He added: "I'm grateful to God I can dream of things and it happens, so thank God for the power of faith."
