Brentford manager Keith Andrews has praised teenage forward Kaye Furo following his eye-catching debut in Monday night's 1-0 victory over Macclesfield F.C.
Furo, who is the son of former Super Eagles defender Iyenemi Furo, played a key role in the Bees' only goal of the encounter.
With 20 minutes left on the clock, Furo applied pressure on Sam Heathcote as he attempted to clear Aaron Hickey's pinpoint cross, forcing the defender to turn the ball into his own net.
Speaking after the match, Andrews expressed satisfaction with the youngster's adaptation and mentality.
"He has settled into the club really well, to the group and the training," the Irish manager was quoted as saying by Brentford's official website.
"I really like what he is about. Tough game to come into obviously. I thought he handled himself really really well."
Furo featured for 72 minutes before being replaced by Burkina Faso international Dango Ouattara as Brentford sought to protect their narrow advantage.
The promising forward joined Brentford from Club Brugge KV after progressing through the Belgian club's youth ranks and earning opportunities with the senior side.
Prior to his move to the Gtech Community Stadium, Furo made five league appearances for Club Brugge, scoring once. He also featured in the UEFA Champions League, making his debut in a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal F.C..
