Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder and coach Tim Sherwood reckons that Leicester City will miss the qualities Jamie Vardy bring in their ongoing game against Aston Villa at the King Power Stadium.
The former England striker has been replaced in the starting lineup by Kelechi Iheanacho due to an injury he suffered in training last week.
Sherwood revealed that Iheanacho is not the same kind of player as Vardy who has the ability to make incisive runs behind defenders.
Speaking on Premier League Productions just before the start of the game, Sherwood stated : "Iheanacho is a different type, he's not going to run in behind. Aston Villa will keep a high line because of the fact Vardy is not there.
"It's a real shame, unfortunately for Jamie he's stopped playing international football so he keeps himself fit and then he gets injured in training.
"He's got a calf injury, they are going to miss him tonight".
Iheanacho is making his first start for the Foxes in the Premier League since the 2-0 loss to Manchester United on the final day of the 2019-2020 campaign.
