According to the statistics provided by Whoscored from the Super Eagles 2-0 loss to Madagascar on Sunday evening, the three-time African champions were better offensively and the Islanders were imperious in defence.

Torino defender Ola Aina recorded a joint game-high key passes with Ahmed Musa and Andriamahitsinoro finishing with the same number.
