King of the air: Onuachu outshines Besiktas, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray in headed goals

Trabzonspor striker Paul Onuachu has proven to be a threat in the Turkish Super Lig, registering more headed goals than the country's traditional powerhouses Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray.

His dominance in the air has made him one of the Super Lig's most feared forwards this season.

The Nigeria international has scored nine headed goals, finding the net against Kocaelispor, Samsunspor, Rizespor, Alanyaspor, Fenerbahçe, Fatih Karagümrük, Kayserispor and Galatasaray.

Trabzonspor as a team lead the league in headed goals this season, with 18 of their 55 strikes coming from headers.

According to 61 Saat, Başakşehir have netted nine headed goals, while Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray have managed eight each, meaning Onuachu alone has outscored the Istanbul giants in the air.

The clubs with the fewest headed goals this term are Fatih Karagümrük, Gaziantep and Kocaelispor, with just two each.

Newly capped Nigeria international Chibuike Nwaiwu ranks third among Trabzonspor players in headed goals, scoring three since his January transfer from Austrian Bundesliga side Wolfsberger AC.
