According to the Daily Mail, the Derby County manager is heavily linked with a return to Stamford Bridge following his awesome achievements with the Championship side, and one player will be looking forward to having the former England international as manager considering the relationship existing between them.
This player is no other person than 21-year-old defender, Fikayo Tomori, who spent the whole of this season under Lampard's watch.
The recently completed season was arguably Tomori's best season since he turned professional, thanks to Lampard's trust in his ability.
Having won Lampard's trust during his loan spell with the Rams, Tomori will definitely be in Chelsea first-team squad, should Lampard eventually succeeded Sarri before next season.
However, the Blues board of directors will wait for the outcome of the forthcoming Europa League final against Arsenal before making any decision as regards to Sarri's future.
A win against the Gunners could force the West London club into giving Sarri another chance to impress next season, while a defeat could mean the end of Sarri's reign at Stamford Bridge.
