Vanarama National League club Tranmere Rovers have announced that Michael Ihiekwe has signed a contract extension.<br /><br />The 23-year-old has put pen to paper on a new one-year deal which will see him remain at the Super White Army until the end of next season, having initially penned a two-year contract when he joined the club in 2014.<br /><br />A product of the academy team of Liverpool, Ihiekwe has played professionally for Wolverhampton Wanderers and spent time on loan at Cheltenham Town while on the books of&nbsp; the Molineux Stadium outfit.<br /><br />Since his arrival at Prenton Park, he has played 82 games and found the net three times.<br /><br />Michael Ihiekwe has been selected to train with the England C squad in the past.<br /><br />Igho Kingsley <br /><br />Photo Credit : tranmererovers.co.uk<br />
