Manchester United Boss Insists He Is Not Desperate To Sign Chelsea Target

Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho has played down suggestions that he is desperate to sign Inter Milan winger winger Ivan Perisic, who is being courted by Chelsea, before the close of the transfer window.

The Red Devils have been linked with a mysterious fourth signing, but the Portuguese gaffer has insisted that he's happy with his current squad, having brought in Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic and Victor Lindelof.

''I don’t think we are unless something happened that put us in market again,'' Mourinho stated.

''I told Mr Woodward obviously my plans were four but I also told him ‘no pressure from me - do what you think is the best for the club’.

''We will be together for another transfer window in January and next summer, so there is no pressure from me at all.

''I’m happy with the squad we have. I am ready to go without a fourth player. If we are out of the market I am fine. I am okay.''

Manchester United thrashed West Ham 4-0 on the opening day of the season, with new boy Lukaku netting a brace on his Premier League debut.
