Manchester United wonderkid Shola Shoretire has revealed the advice he got from Mason Greenwood, who made his first-team breakthrough as a teenager.
The fantastically gifted forward has been tipped to follow in the footsteps of Greenwood as he has been playing up the age groups - a testament to his ability and how highly he is thought of by the Red Devils hierarchy.
Shoretire is the youngest player to debut for Manchester United in the UEFA Youth League at the age of fourteen, made his debut in the U18 Premier League while still a schoolboy, and played his first games in the Premier League 2 and EFL Trophy aged 16.
Speaking to UMM YouTube page, Shoretire said on Greenwood : "One thing that he's always said is you miss 100 percent of the shots you don' take, always try and shoot because if you don't shoot you don't score.
"He told me that three years ago and then look at him now".
Shoretire went on to reveal his two sources of inspiration - Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford and Barcelona legend Ronaldinho.
On the player that inspires him from the past, he replied : "Ronaldinho, he was so confident in himself, skillful, he had everything I think".
On the player that inspires him from the present, the Anglo-Nigerian said: "Marcus Rashford, the things that he does off the pitch, on the pitch, just a good role model. I've seen him do that, I can do it too."
Shoretire has started eleven of the thirteen matches contested by Manchester United in the Premier League 2 this term, scoring two goals and setting up two others.
