Metalist Kharkiv On The Verge Of Announcing Emmanuel Okoduwa Deal
Nigerian striker Emmanuel Okoduwa may continue his career in a championship he is accustomed to - the Ukrainian Premier League. <br /><br /><i>Sport.ua </i>says
the 30 - year - old is in advanced talks with Metalist regarding a
switch, and will start practicing with the Kharkiv based side as from
Wednesday.<br /><br />Last February, the one - cap Nigeria international
trained with the reserve team of Dynamo Kiev, but did not sign on the
dotted line after the exercise.<br /><br />Emmanuel Okoduwa is well known in
Ukraine after emerging the top goalscorer in the Premier League with 15
goals back in 2006 while on the payroll of Arsenal Kiev.<br /><br />Since
he departed Dynamo Kiev four years ago, he has had limited success with
the teams he played for including Kuban, Enosis Neon Paralimni and AEK
Larnaca.<br /><br />Should his shift to Metalist materialize as widely
expected, he will join experienced Nigerian defender Yussuf Ayila at the
