Nigeria captain Ahmed Musa is in contention to make his debut in the UEFA Europa Conference League, with his new club Sivasspor beating the deadline to register the winger for the competition.
Shortly after terminating his contract with Fatih Karagümrük, Musa joined Sivasspor on Friday, September 2, the last day Europa Conference League participants are permitted to submit their rosters to UEFA.
Sivasspor have been drawn in Group G of the UECL along with Slavia Prague, CFR Cluj and Ballkani.
Musa has been allocated the number 26 jersey for the Europa Conference League.
Last season, Peter Olayinka and Stephen Odey became the first Nigerian players to feature in all three European club competitions namely the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League.
With his inclusion in Sivasspor's UECL squad, Musa has now set his sights on equaling the feat of the Slavia Prague winger and Randers striker.
Samuel Chukwueze is also in the frame to play in all three European competitions this season with Villarreal becoming the first team to represent Spain in the Europa Conference League.
The 2015 U17 World Cup winner previously appeared in the group stage of the Champions League and Europa League for the Yellow Submarine.
