Controversial sports personality, Alhaji Gara Gombe has directly launched a scathing attack on the Nigeria Football Federation and the managers of the Nigeria national Under-17 team, the Golden Eaglets, saying eighty percent of the boys that made up the team to the FIFA U17 World Cup currently ongoing in Brazil are over-aged and that all the players paid their way into the team, with each player coughing a minimum of 10,000 US dollars (approximately N3.6 million).
Gara Gombe, who is well known for steering various levels of controversies made this known via his Facebook page earlier today.
On the same Facebook post, Ayuba Mohammed accused Head Coach of the team Manu Garba of corruption, saying the coach refused to pick talent from Gombe or northeast Nigeria because they don't have money to pay.
The Golden Eaglets lost 3-1 to the Netherlands earlier today in the round of 16 of the competition.
The five-time world record champions have been entirely insipid in the competition, struggling from behind to manage two victories against Hungary and Ecuador.
