Nansel Selbol Makes Professional Debut For Sporting Kansas City Reserves

Nansel Selbol made his competitive debut for the reserve team of Sporting Kansas City, Swope Park Rangers, in their 2-1 win over Portland Timbers II on Saturday in the United Soccer League.<br /><br />The former Golden Eaglets trainee has been tipped by Major League Soccer as one of the five youngsters who could take the USL by storm in the 2016 campaign.<br /><br />For the game staged at Children&rsquo;s Mercy Park,Nansel Selbol was handed his professional debut when he was introduced in the 70th minute.<br /><br />Nigeria U20 international Akinjide Idowu made the Timbers 18-man squad but watched proceedings from the bench.<br /><br />Selbol made his debut for Sporting Kansas City U18s on September 20 against Solar Chelsea SC and was one of the team&rsquo;s leading scorers in the Central Conference USSDA U -18 League before he was handed a professional deal.<br /><b><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel</b><br /><br /><br /><br />
