Nathan Oduwa Hoping To Shine For Nigeria At Olympic Games; Refuses To Sign New Spurs Deal

Nigeria U23 international Nathan Oduwa is refusing to append his signature to a new contract with Tottenham Hotspur, <i>Sky Sports</i> is reporting. <br /><br />The winger has been offered fresh terms that will keep him at Spurs until the summer of 2017, but has kept the club waiting because he hopes to get a better offer elsewhere should he impress for the Dream Team VI at the 2016 Olympic Games.<br /><br />Nathan Oduwa debuted for the Nigeria U23s against Brazil on March 24 when he replaced Anderlecht loanee Imoh Ezekiel in the closing minutes of the encounter. <br /><br />A number of clubs in Spain are reportedly monitoring the situation of the 20-year-old and could swoop for him this summer.<br /><br />Born in Bloomsbury, London, he represented the U17, U18 and U20 national teams of England before pledging his international future to Nigeria.<br /><br />Igho Kingsley <br />
