Rasmus Ankersen, the CEO of Sports Republic, owner of Southampton, has stated that Paul Onuachu will only be sold at the right price amid Trabzonspor and Al-Okhood's interests in the forward.

The Saints bought the Super Eagles striker for £18m in the 2023 winter transfer window from Gent but deal hasn't worked out for both parties with an end to their association expected this summer.

The Premier League newcomers for the 2024/2025 season are ready to minimize the loss incurred in getting the 30-year-old and as a result aren't ready to sell him cheaply to Trabzonspor.

The Turkish outfit enjoyed the services of the former Jupiler Pro League top scorer  who was on loan at the club last term and are ready to make his move permanent but have been unable to meet his valuation.

This has paved the way for Saudi Pro-League club Al-Okhdood to come into the conversation as reports from Saudi Arabia have claimed that they are on the verge of reaching an agreement with Southampton for the sale of the Nigeria international.

Speaking at a press conference organized for their co-owned club Göztepe, Ankersen compared Onuachu to Italian luxury sports car, Ferrari and added that clubs interested in his signature must pay the asking price. 

In quotes relayed by NTVSpor, he said: "My phone rings every day when people want to talk about Onuachu. But if you want to buy a Ferrari, you cannot come up with Fiat money". 

Southampton have reportedly reduced their valuation for Onuachu from €15m to €10m and will only sell to the right bidder as it stands.
