The Nigeria Football Federation have finalized the Super Eagles roster for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations with twenty-eight players making the cut.
Victor Osimhen, who has not played competitively for Napoli since November 21 and only just returned to training, has been included on the roster despite the fact his Italian club have not yet modified his estimated downtime.
An analysis of the roster revealed that four goalkeepers, nine defenders, five midfielders and ten attackers have been called up.
Red-hot Watford attacker Emmanuel Dennis is back in the fold after spending the last one year in the international wilderness.
The roster includes five other Premier League players in the shape of William Troost-Ekong (Watford), Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City), Frank Onyeka (Brentford), Alex Iwobi (Everton) and Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester City).
Former Arsenal midfielder Kelechi Nwakali, ex-Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi, ex-Manchester United star Odion Ighalo and former Chelsea defenders Kenneth Omeruo and Ola Aina have all earned roster spots.
Rangers duo Leon Balogun and Joe Aribo are also included in Augustine Eguavoen's squad but there is no place for teammate Calvin Bassey.
