Flying Eagles coach Paul Aigbogun has explained that he attended some of the Aiteo Cup matches to scout players ahead of the resumption of camping for next year's Africa U20 Cup of Nations in Republic of Niger.
The Flying Eagles qualified for the tournament after beating Guinea Bissau and Mauritania on aggregate.
''We want to look at players who have been in our team and to look at prospective players within that range who can play,'' Aigbogun told reporters.
''We have been going round most of the Aiteo Cup venues to try and see players that can make the team.
''We will do an open screening where fresh players will be invited and we'll look at them, once anyone is brought to our notice that he's better than the player here, then it's for them to get their teams to try and come.
''The tournament is coming up in February, we've given our programme to the Federation which they have been helpful and supportive, trying to approve what we want to do to the best of their abilities.''
