The Nigeria Football Federation have announced the finalized roster for the upcoming WAFU B U20 Championship taking place in Niamey.
Flying Eagles head coach Ladan Bosso is taking a pool of twenty eight players consisting of three goalkeepers, eight defenders, eight midfielders and nine attackers to the Niger Republic capital.
Of the players named in the squad, only one in the shape of FK Zalgris Vilnius striker Adams Olubi is based abroad.
Former Nigeria U17 international Ahmed Abdullahi will be one of the players to watch out for during the tournament in Niger, having made the squad list along with Enyimba defender Oluwatosin Adegbite and Adoration FC striker Divine Nwachukwu.
HB Academy center forward Abdullahi is on the radar of Premier League giants Manchester United and Manchester City, and has undergone trials at Borussia Dortmund, Marseille and Lorient.
Seven-time African champions Nigeria will face Ghana and Burkina Faso in Group B of the WAFU B Championship scheduled for May 7-20.
The Flying Eagles will confront Ghana in their first match of the competition on Sunday, 8th May, before they take on Burkina Faso three days later. Both matches hold at the General Seyni Kountche Stadium in Niamey.
The Nigeria Football Federation have arranged two friendly matches in Niamey to put the team in premium shape and readiness for the competition proper.
