Nigeria Wins Fifa Under 17 World Cup
The Golden Eaglets maintained their undefeated streak when it mattered most, defeating Mexico 3 - 0 at the Mohamed Bin Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi on Friday evening to lift the Fifa Under 17 World Cup a record fourth time.<br /><br />The Young Tricolor enjoyed possession at the early stages of the game while the Nigerians relied on their speed and counterattacks.<br /><br />And in one of their trademark bursts from defense to attack, Nigeria took the lead in the 9th minute. Musa Yahaya<span class=\"\\"body1\\"\">’s shot was deflected into goal by right back Erick Aguirre.<br /><br />Mexico searched for an equalizer and could have drawn level in the 30th minute if not for the brilliant Alampasu, who tipped </span><br /><span style=\"\" class=\"notranslate\">Rivas header over the bar for a corner.<br /><br />Nigeria pressed further for a second goal and in one of the forays, the dangerous Musa Yahaya was unfortunate to hit the post.<br /><br />Until the Scottish referee blew the whistle for the end of the first half, the Golden Eaglets kept bombarding the Mexicans.<br /><br />They scored a second goal 10 minutes into the second half.
