Veteran attacker Shola Ameobi will not be wearing the jersey of&nbsp; Wolves, the Championship club have announced.<br /><br />In the last few days, the 33 - year - old had been training with The Wanderers and was given a run out in an U21 game against Swansea City but it appears he failed to convince the coaching staff.<br /><br />Assuming Ameobi had been offered a contract, he would have joined the Nigerian contingent at the Molineux in the shape of Carl Ikeme, Sheyi Ojo, Dominic Iora and the new kid on the block Bright Enobakhare.<br /><br />It had been reported that Shola Ameobi was negotiating with another Championship side Huddersfield Town prior to his trials with Wolves.<br /><br />The former Newcastle United man played for the Super Eagles at the 2014 World Cup.<br /><br />Photo Credit : Gaziantep Buyuksehir Belediyespor <br />
