Odunlade Paul Omoniyi admits it was a surprise to be called up to Henry Nwosu&rsquo;s Gateway squad for the 2014 Nigeria National League season.<br /><br />The 2012 National Sports Festival 2-goal hero was included in a 35-man team that will represent the Ogun State sponsored side in the Pool B of the second tier league in Nigeria.<br /><br />Paul Scholes as he is known by his admirers was thrilled with the move and pledged to entertain the Olumo Rock soccer faithfuls with his artistry.<br /><br />&ldquo;I was pretty happy when I made the squad, it\'s just the beginning and I hope to deliver with breathtaking performance,&rdquo; he said.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m going to go play with an open mind. I&rsquo;m just excited with the words of encouragement I received from two ex-internationals, Henry Nwosu and Yisa Shofoluwe.&rdquo;<br /><br />On his targets for the new season, Odunlade added: &ldquo;I&rsquo;m not going to rule out any possibilities for sure in terms of helping Gateway, but I think we are prepared for the task ahead.<br /><br />&ldquo;It&rsquo;s promises to be an eventful season, and hopefully we will improve in every game and mount a surge.&rdquo;<br /><br />
