With a statement on its official website, MLS side Portland Timbers has announced that it has completed the signing of Fanendo Adi on loan from Denmark heavyweights FC Copenhagen.<br /><br />Per league and club policy, the duration and financial terms of the contract he signed were not disclosed.<br /><br />However, the online edition of Soccer Laduma Nigeria, SL10.ng, informs that the 23 - year - old forward has penned a three - month contract with the Oregon based outfit.<br /><br />&ldquo;Fanendo is a young and ambitious player with UEFA Champions League experience and we feel that his acquisition on short-term loan, with the option to purchase, provides a great opportunity for both the player and our club.<br /><br />&ldquo;This loan allows us to add a quality player into the mix as we are always looking to develop our roster now and in the future,&rdquo; Timbers general manager Gavin Wilkinson said to timbers.com.<br /><br />Fanendo Adi, who has had spells in Ukraine and Slovakia, will travel to United States to join his new teammates on or before the next one week.<br />
