English League One side Fleetwood Town have completed the signing of former Nigeria international Shola Ameobi.<br /><br />The 34-year-old, who recently parted company with Bolton Wanderers, has penned a short-term deal that will keep him at The Cod Army until June 30,2016.<br /><br />Manager Steven Pressley said : &ldquo;We certainly couldn&rsquo;t get any more experience than Shola Ameobi and we are absolutely delighted with that. <br /><br />&ldquo;He is not only a very good player; he is a terrific character that can bring a lot to the group.<br /><br />&ldquo;It is vital that he has been playing as sometimes unattached players at this stage in the season, the one thing they are lacking is a level of fitness. <span class="body1"><span class="body1"><span class="body1">&rdquo;<br /><br />Shola Ameobi previously represented Newcastle United, where he spent 14 years, Stoke City, Gaziantep BB (Turkey) and Crystal Palace.<br /></span></span></span><br />Photo Credit : Fleetwood Town<br />&nbsp;<br />
