With a statement on their official website, Premier League club Crystal Palace have announced that talented teenage striker of Nigerian descent Ademola Ola-Adebomi has signed a new deal.
Ademola Ola-Adebomi has put pen to paper on his first professional contract with the Eagles, ten years after joining the club's academy as a schoolboy.
The 18-year-old has been in the form of his life this season, scoring fourteen goals in twenty-two appearances for the U18 team of Crystal Palace.
He was among the Nigeria-eligible youngsters that helped Palace win the Premier League Floodlit Cup in 2019, the others being Victor Akinwale and Tayo Adaramola.
In his first words after the deal was confirmed, Ola-Adebomi told the official website of Crystal Palace : "It’s what I’ve dreamed of since the age of eight, since I joined the Academy. To get a professional contract here means the world to me.
"This season has been my best season so far. I feel like I’m playing with confidence and I’m scoring goals, assisting goals and playing well.
"As a team we’ve moulded well, and I feel like we’re battling for the title, which is quite big. Hopefully we can go on and win the title... The aim was to win it this year, which I feel like is possible, definitely."
