Super Eagles forward Moses Simon marked a major career milestone on Sunday, making his 200th appearance in the French Ligue 1 during Paris FC’s goalless draw against Strasbourg at Stade de la Meinau, a result that saw both teams share the points.
Simon featured for 64 minutes in the match, helping Paris FC secure a point in a 0‑0 draw, while reaching a landmark that places him among a select group of Nigerian players to achieve longevity, consistency, and regular involvement in France’s top flight.
The Paris FC forward becomes only the second Nigerian to reach 200 Ligue 1 appearances, following former striker John Utaka, who amassed 239 appearances with Lens, Rennes, and Montpellier over his career, setting a high benchmark for Nigerian players in French football.
Simon’s Ligue 1 career began in 2019, and he spent six seasons with FC Nantes before joining Paris FC on a three-year contract in June 2025.
Throughout his career in France, he has been a consistent presence on the pitch, contributing goals, assists, and valuable experience to his teams, while establishing himself as a reliable figure and a respected professional in the league.
Moses has registered 76 goal involvements (30 goals and 46 assists) across 200 games in the French top-flight, logging 15, 184 minutes.
