Peter Odemwingie Eyes New Stoke City Deal
Nigeria international Peter Odemwingie has no hesitation over the extension of his contract with Stoke City.<br /><br />Unless <i>The Potters</i> agree terms with the forward in the next one month or so, he will walk away as a free agent before the start of pre - season training. <br /><br />No thanks to a cruciate ligament injury, Odemwingie could only make 6 Premier League appearances this term but he is not ruling out prolonging his stay at Stoke despite the few games under his belt.<br /><br />“I’m 34 this year and if this is my last couple of years in the Premier League then I feel I can do myself justice,” Odemwingie was quoted as saying <i>Mirror</i>.<br /><br />“Maybe we can come to an agreement.<br /><br />"Stoke is a good club, I’m happy here and maybe Southampton can be a good example - they could be in Europe next year and that’s something we could aim for.”<br /><br />The former Lille man has netted 37 goals in 123 matches since his switch to the Premier League from Lokomotiv Moscow.<br />
