Arsenal eked out a 1-1 draw in a Premier League 2 clash against Manchester United on Friday night, with four players of Nigerian descent on parade at Old Trafford.
As previously reported, Shola Shoretire was named in United's starting lineup; goalkeeper Ovie Ejeheri and midfielder James Olayinka started for the north London club and winger Nathan Butler-Oyedeji entered the game as a substitute in the 88th minute.
Ejeheri made a couple of impressive saves to deny the opponents from breaking the deadlock.
The Anglo-Nigerian-Ugandan glovesman kept out Emeran's free-kick from distance with a brilliant save in the 13th minute and seven minutes later made a double save to deny Bughail-Mellor and Charlie Wellens.
Gunners captain Mika Biereth gave the visitors a 29th minute lead, turning the ball in from close range after he was set up by Kido Taylor-Hart.
But United, who haven't lost at home since November, leveled two minutes after the restart as Emeran slotted home a delightful through ball from Shoretire.
Shoretire and Ejeheri played for the full game for their respective teams, Olayinka subbed out at minute 58 and Dutch-Nigerian winger Joel Ideho was a non-playing substitute.
