The Polish Football Association have set the wheels in motion to beat their Nigerian counterparts to the services of two promising teenagers in the shape of Manchester United midfielder Maximillian Oyedele and Polonia Warsaw fullback Jakub Okusami.
Oyedele and Okusami have both been named in Poland U18s 24-player roster ahead of the international window later this month.
Aged 17, Oyedele is a first-year scholar at Manchester United and made his debut in the U18 Premier League whilst still a scholar, before making appearances in the FA Youth Cup, UEFA Youth League and Premier League 2 in the current season.
This is the first time the Anglo-Polish-Nigerian midfielder has received a call-up to any of the national teams he's eligible to represent.
Polonia Warsaw U19 left-back Okusami has received another call-up to the Polish U18s on the back of his impressive performances in this season's Central Youth League.
The Poland U18s will hold a training camp for 2004-born players on March 20-26 in Warsaw and Switzerland.
As part of the training camp, the Poles will face Switzerland in two friendly matches on March 23 and March 25 in Baden.
