Victor Osimhen has been tipped to become a world class striker like Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane, Chelsea's Romelu Lukaku, Real Madrid's Karim Benzema, Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski and Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland.
Respected Italian-born ESPN pundit Gabriele Marcotti believes the Nigeria international is showing all the attributes to become a world-class striker.
There is no doubt that Kane and Lukaku are two of the best strikers in the Premier League, Benzema is the top dog in La Liga, while Lewandowski and Haaland are the best in the German Bundesliga, and Marcotti has suggested that Osimhen will be added to the list of world-class strikers in the near future.
The whole world has seen Osimhen's talent in the last twelve days, with six goals in four matches to help Napoli pick up nine points in the Serie A and one in the Europa League.
On the international stage, the 2015 U17 World Cup winner scored the most goals in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with five for the Super Eagles.
"What I'll tell you about Osimhen, the best is yet to come and it's coming," Marcotti said on ESPN.
"You know the holy pentagram of great center forwards that we all talk about Karim Benzema, Lewandowski, Harry Kane, Lukaku and whom am I missing Erling Haaland.
"Guess what it's going to be six soon, Osimhen is on his way".
Osimhen joined Napoli for a club record fee of 70 million euros in 2020 after a fantastic season with Lille, for whom he scored 18 goals in 38 games.
