Emmanuel Emenike Ends Goalless Streak
Published: April 28, 2015Emmanuel Emenike , 27, returned to scoring ways as Fenerbahce defeated Bursaspor 2 - 1 in the Turkish Cup on Tuesday evening.
The game was earlier postponed after the Yellow Canaries’ team bus was attacked on the way to Istanbul following a league match with Rizespor.
For the fifth time this season, the Super Eagles striker was named in the starting line - up for a Cup game, and he repaid the manager’s faith by opening scoring for his team in the 26th minute.
Fernando Belluschi equalized for The Green Crocodiles seven minutes later before Bruno Alves scored what turned out to be the game - winner in the 36th minute.
Emenike last scored for Fenerbache on February 14 during their league game against Gaziantepspor.
