Sporting Kansas Whizkid Selbol In The Running For Late Call Up To Nigeria U23s

Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that coach Samson Siasia is mulling over handing a late call up to Sporting Kansas City whizkid Nansel Selbol ahead of the 2016 Olympic Games.

Siasia was impressed by the qualities of the former Plateau United attacking midfielder when he trained with the squad for three weeks prior to the 2015 Africa U23 Cup of Nations and assured him that he is consideration for the Olympic Games.

Ex-Super Eagles skipper Joseph Yobo was a regular visitor to the Nigeria U23s training camp before their trip to Senegal and the former Nantes strikers always sang the praises of Selbol.

On the flip side, Samson Siasia has complained about the player’s height, but his minders have argued that Sodiq Popoola, who is diminutive too, has trained several times with the Nigeria U23s.

The American-based Selbol would link up with the national team at their get-together in Atlanta,USA if he is handed an invitation by Siasia.
