Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Porto’s Mikel Agu returned to Portugal on Sunday, June 26 after training with the Dream Team VI, and was absent from the workout held at the National Stadium on Monday morning.
The central midfielder has been ruled out of the Olympic Games, with Porto ordering him to return to the club so he can participate in pre-season training.
Meanwhile, CS Sfaxien star Junior Ajayi and Belgian-based midfielder Sodiq Popoola trained for the first time with the Nigeria U23s this morning, having arrived the training camp this past weekend.
Barring any last minute change, the squad will not train on Monday evening but are scheduled to have a workout tomorrow morning before their departure to the United States for a get-together.
The last batch of players will leave for Atlanta on Wednesday, June 29.
