Kano Pillars Star Gambo Mohammed To Be Handed International Lifeline If....
Slovenian manager Ivo von Sajh-Scheich, who has applied for the vacant position of Super Eagles coach, is planning to hand an international lifeline to Kano Pillars ace Gambo Mohammed if he is named coach by the Nigeria Football Federation in the coming weeks.

Sajh-Scheich has opined that his former pupil, Leicester City-bound Ahmed Musa, will flourish even better with the national team if his ex-teammate at Kano Pillars partners him in attack.

“For Nigeria Ahmed Musa can do more, and with Gambo Mohammed both can help the national team, anytime they can change their playing positions between them, ” said Ivo von Sajh-Scheich to allnigeriasoccer.com.

“If I will take over Nigeria, on my list of 34 players (four goalkeepers and 30 field players) in August this year I would like to bring again Mohamed Gambo and then we will see who will stay on the list till November 2017.

We can build a very strong team, to come on the list will be difficult and to leave the list will be very easy.

Mohammed, 28, was selected by Stephen Keshi for the 2013 Fifa Confederations Cup and was given a run out in the final Group B fixture against Spain.
