Five Players Of Nigerian Descent Feature As England Beat France At U19 Euros

Five players of Nigerian descent were in action on Tuesday evening as England U19s began their UEFA European Under-19 Championship campaign brightly after beating France 2-1 at Albstadion, Heidenheim.
Fikayo Tomori (Chelsea), Sheyi Ojo (Liverpool), Joshua Onomah (Tottenham Hotspur) and Dominic Solanke (Chelsea) were included in the starting line-up while Tammy Abraham (Chelsea) and Ademola Lookman (Charlton Athletic) were among the substitutes.
Lookman remained on the bench throughout the contest, Abraham entered into the fray in the 65th minute when he replaced Ojo, while the remaining four players went the distance.
An own goal by Jerome Onguene fired England into a third minute lead before Solanke doubled their advantage six minutes later .
England will face Holland at Donaustadion, Ulm on Friday, July 15.
