Tolaji Bola, Olowu, Omole Start As Arsenal U18s Lose To Bayern Munich
Published: July 15, 2016Three players of Nigerian descent in the shape of Tolaji Bola, Joseph Olowu and Toby Omole were in action for Arsenal U18s in a pre-season fixture against the Under 17 team of Bayern Munich on Thursday.
Despite taking the lead in the 35th minute through Nathan Tella, the young Gunners squad lost 2-1 to the German opponents after conceding twice in the last fifteen minutes.
Olowu and Omole are both defenders and they are among the teenagers that signed scholarship deals with the Emirates outfit at the end of last month.
The friendly between the two European powerhouses was played in Germany.
Meanwhile, Nigeria international Alex Iwobi’s trained with Arsenal first team at at London Colney on Friday.
