Chelsea Rising Star Ola Aina Inching Closer And Closer To First Team Debut
Published: July 16, 2016England youth international of Nigerian descent Ola Aina is inching closer to his first team debut for Chelsea.
It has been speculated that the versatile defender would have been given his first-team bow during the 2015-2016 campaign, but his contract situation prevented him from doing so.
Having recently penned a new four-year deal, Aina is training with the first team of the Blues during pre-season, just as he did throughout last season, and now has an opportunity to impress new manager Antonio Conte.
The 19-year-old traveled with the first team to Austria on Friday along with Super Eagles stars John Obi Mikel and Victor Moses.
Last season, Aina was an unused substitute in the League Cup tie Walsall before making the 18-man squad for the Premier League clash at Swansea City.
Academy products Dominic Solanke, Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham have already made their debuts for the first team of Chelsea.
