Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur Talents Ready For A Breakthrough Season
Published: July 22, 2016Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham and Tottenham Hotspur rising star Joshua Onomah have put the 2-1 loss to Italy in the semifinal of the 2016 European U19 Championship behind them, and have set their sights on having a good season at their respective clubs.
The two teenagers, particularly Onomah, were outstanding in Germany and made the starting lineup in the unfortunate loss to the Italians in Mannheim on Thursday afternoon.
Onomah tweeted : “Gutted to miss out on the final of #U19Euro to Italy, hard work continues now at @SpursOfficial !”
Abraham commented : “Disappointing game ð��� ... Big season ahead ð��¶ð��¾ we go again ð��¤.”
Onomah made his Premier League debut in November against Aston Villa, while Abraham suited up for the first time in the topflight six months later as Chelsea shared the spoils with Liverpool at Anfield.
They remain eligible to represent Nigeria internationally until they play competitively for the senior team of England.
