Four Nigerians Feature As Liverpool Suffer 1-0 Loss To Chelsea In ICC
Four players of Nigerian descent were in action as Chelsea recorded a 1-0 win over Liverpool in an International Champions Cup clash staged at Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California on Thursday morning.

Ovie Ejaria was involved in his fifth pre-season game, playing 63 minutes before he was replaced by Henderson, the same time Sheyi Ojo entered into the fray for the Reds.

In a hotly-contested encounter between the two Premier League rivals, the former Golden Eaglets trainee was cautioned in the 39th minute for a late challenge.

England youth international Ola Aina performed excellently at right fullback and played the entirety of the contest, while teammate Victor Moses subbed out with 23 minutes remaining.

Chelsea took the lead in the 10th minute through Cahill and the Reds thought they had restored parity ten minutes before the interval when Firmino slotted home after an Ovie Ejaria backheel but the goal was disallowed.

Liverpool meet AC Milan in their next friendly match while the Blues face Real Madrid.
